At Ercic Family Dental, our goal is to provide the most comprehensive dental treatment with special attention to our patient's needs and desires. Each treatment plan is individually customized with the goal of exceeding patient expectations.

Our Services

  • Preventative dentistry involves the ongoing care of the teeth and gums to keep them healthy and disease free. Regular dental checkups, teeth cleaning, and oral hygiene instructions are essential to preventing dental decay, gum disease, and other oral conditions.

  • Concerned about the colour, shape, size, and position of your teeth?  Cosmetic dentistry focuses on the general appearance of your teeth to keep them looking their best! Teeth whitening, microabrasion, veneers, and orthodontics are some of the procedures involved in cosmetic dentistry.

  • A crown is a dental restoration which replaces a single tooth that has been damaged but not completely lost. A bridge replaces one or more missing teeth by artificially fusing two or more crowns and extending them over the area of the missing tooth.  The goal of both prostheses is to restore shape, function, and appearance.

  • Root canal treatment, also known as Endodontic treatment, is the process of removing and cleaning the pulp (inside of the tooth) that has been injured and/or infected past the point of recovery.  The subsequent space is filled with a sterile thermoplastic compound (gutta percha) that helps to prevent reinfection of the canals.

  • Tooth extraction is the removal of a tooth which has become unrestorable due to decay, periodontal disease or dental trauma.  Under favourable conditions, these teeth can be replaced by either fixed or removable prosthetics (dental implants, bridges, dentures).

  • Mouth guards are individually designed in the dental laboratory to protect teeth from injury due to grinding (Bruxism) or contact sports.  Custom-fitted mouth guards are comfortable to wear, easy to clean, and do not restrict breathing or speech.

Our Team

Dr. D. Ercic began her career as a dental technician before graduating as a dentist from the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Dentistry in 1983.  She moved to Canada in 1993 and entered private practice in 1997 after completing her Canadian Board Exams. Three years later, she established her own practice in the Mississauga region.  For the past 17 years, Dr. D. Ercic has been dedicated to providing quality dental care in a comfortable family setting. On her spare time, she enjoys going for walks, reading, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Dr. J. Ercic attended Philip Pocock Catholic high school before graduating from York University with an Honours in Biology. After completing his dental education at the University of Sydney, Faculty of Dentistry, he moved back to Toronto to work alongside Dr. D. Ercic in their family practice. He is an active member of the Australian Dental Association (ADA), the Canadian Dental Association (CDA) and the Ontario Dental Association (ODA).  Outside of dentistry, Dr. J. Ercic has a passion for music including soul, jazz, disco, and electronic music.
